Blocktrust wants to introduce better ways to publish scientific research. The current system favours quantity, there is an incentive to publish often. This project explores whether there could be a better way, where quality, not quantity is the main indicator.

Open Call 1

Project CERES aims to increase transactional efficiency in agriculture and establish trust in agricultural producers’ provenance statements. To this end, CERES intends to address two interrelated problems in agriculture by providing a triangulated proof-of-location service and an agricultural smart contract framework. The project will develop a blockchain application to be used by farmers, logistics companies, and other stakeholders in the agricultural value chain.

Open Call 1

A large amount of e-business and freelancing transactions are happening through centralized freelancing job boards, like Fiverr, Upwork and a few other incumbents. Such marketplaces dictate conditions, fees, money-retain policies, and among others reputation. No matter how vast your expertise is, once you join a platform you restart your profile from scratch. Your reputation is built inside someone else’s land.

Open Call 2

We live in a digital society where it is becoming difficult to know if someone you are talking or interacting with through an Internet platform is a human or a bot. Bot accounts, bot interactions and machine-generated content (GPT-3) are growing at high-speed. Because of that, the need to know if you are interacting with a human is more important as time goes on.

Our approach to this problem is like single sign-on with Google system but Web3 based.

Open Call 3

The project aims to develop a cutting-edge technological product in the field of cybersecurity and blockchain capable of optimizing the collection process of personal and UGC data and information without any risks to privacy.

Open Call 3

LedgeAIR enables a new scheme for crowdsourcing aircraft communication messages and presents a joint effort toward global monitoring of aviation safety procedures. To get there LedgeAIR creates a blockchain of data gathered by dedicated multi-band airband receivers called AKRx around the world.

Open Call 1

LoRaTRUST proposes a new concept of attributing value to both the measured IoT data and the IoT devices (sensor nodes and gateways)

Open Call 3

Although various concepts exist for applying blockchain technology to “real-world” data, there is a remaining weakness of the starting point. The question is: How to ensure that data measured by IoT devices is trustworthy, not tampered with, erroneous, or fake?

To answer this question, the proposal (Metroracle) focuses on adopting well-defined metrology standards for use in IoT applications supported by blockchain technology.

Open Call 3

moncon is a framework that lets content creators securely monetize their trustable content. moncon is composed of an API, a dashboard where content creators can manage the site configuration, their payments, and certify content and metrics.

Open Call 2

Open Call 2

When fighting mis and disinformation, fact-checkers often face difficulties in quoting and keeping a record of their findings and evidence: mis and disinformation in media, social or independent websites are often quickly erased by the author once they’re found false, trying to cover its deceiving tracks to be able to strike again. Archiving doesn’t only help keep such authors accountable; it also saves the content indefinitely, as many URLs break with time.

Open Call 3

Re-Taled aims at developing a blockchain-based validation framework that provides the online grocery market with unbiased and trustworthy user-generated content and introduces a reward mechanism to recompense content creators and promote fairness. The proposed solution will be powered by an open-source cryptographic token named TALE, which will be created as a unit of account and store of value to encourage users to create content.

Open Call 3

No solution exists at the moment to store data in a decentralized way while having the choice of storage parameters (e.g. number of data replication, storage time, etc.). We believe that the ability to configure data storage in a trust-less way is critical to keep data available, share costs and ensure efficient access.

Open Call 2

ShoppEx proposes two main features: The first one is the ability to follow a product elaboration through the different steps of the supply chain (production/shipment/storage). The second one allows for the creation of communication communities built around interests in specific products/brand/retailer.

Open Call 1

The Deep Learning based Validation Mechanism (DLVM) will act as a validation mechanism on user generated data (images of food to be wasted) to classify food quantity/quality and enhance the trust on user created content.

Open Call 3

Secure software is a necessary precondition for a working society. The software ecosystem (SECO), i.e., the complex network of software providers that collaboratively provide software for every computer on earth, is a trust-rich part of the world. Software engineers trust major hubs in the ecosystem, such as package managers, repository services, and programming language ecosystems. This trust, however, is typically unfounded and this has led to many software supply chain attacks in the past. We introduce a trust layer in the worldwide SECO.

Open Call 3

Open Call 3

Although NFTs can protect the circulation of digital objects, they cannot prevent that object from being fraudulent. For example, Photoshop could be used to place a game avatar on an image of a game level that the player had not, in fact, reached through gameplay, and thus falsely claim the achievement. This project focuses on the need to be able to create digital artefacts that have unquestionably been generated through the process they represent.

Open Call 3
